By decree of the President of Ukraine, he is posthumously awarded the title Hero of Ukraine. Two years after the death of the commander, his subordinates, comrades, and friends recall the events of 2023 and describe Captain Shevchenko as a person without whom they would not have survived at that time. A person who saved the lives of an entire company. The events of the film take place in the Kharkiv region — Shevchenko's small homeland.
