Tora, a non-verbal neurodivergent girl from Tokyo, navigates San Francisco’s sensory landscape. Guided by her mother and a K-pop inspired soundtrack, she finds her inner "roar" in this diaspora story.
A ritual, words from a long-forgotten language. In 2018, an Egyptian mother fights in court for the fundamental rights of her daughter who was born out of wedlock. The film is inspired by this event. Broken Glass is the name of a jelly dessert beloved by the filmmaker's daughter. The film begins as a simple cooking video and gradually unfolds into a zoetrope-cake animation experiment, accompanied by the author's reflection on her childbirth experience. As motherhood challenges the self-destructive perfectionism deeply ingrained in her creative process, she searches for a gentler way back to artistic practice within the routines of meal preparation - one that embraces imperfection, vulnerability and transience.

Unbeknownst to each other, they were both gay and seeking partners in a time when the internet was nascent, and there was barely any out and proud queer community. This short independent documentary narrates how they came to be a couple who created a space for themselves, as well as their discovery of dance as a way to combat aging- which has led to them winning hearts as 'Dancing Daddies'.

The sound is from a live performance by my noise duo Malverde providing sound effects and atmospherics for a DIY Halloween “scare zone” performed by drag queens, treated with collage processes mirroring those of the image track.
The land belongs to those who work it. But what about houses, homes, the place where one can rest and start a family? Image and sound unfold the history of the underlying structures that turn the right to a home into a tool of control, exploitation or dispossession.
